The Wickenburg Sportsmen’s Club will open a new shotgun shooting field Wednesday, January 28th at the shooting range located on Constellation Road ¼ mile past the Rodeo Grounds. It is called 5 Stand where shooters shoot 5 rounds in each of 5 stations at targets launched by 7 different machines. They will know which machine is throwing a target from a menu in the shooting station. Targets can appear from behind the shooter, in front of the shooter and from both sides. Of all the shotgun games, 5 Stand most closely represents what a shooter experiences while bird hunting. 5 Stand hours during the winter are Saturdays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 AM to 3 PM. Cost per round of 25 shots is $4. The public as well as members are invited to try this game.
